At the invitation of Professor Dong Guanghui from the College of Earth and Environment Science, Lanzhou University and the Key Laboratory of Western China’s Environmental Systems (Ministry of Education), Researcher Kang Shugang from the Institute of Earth Environment of the Chinese Academy of Sciences came to our school on March 21, 2023, to pay an academic visit and make an academic report. Title: Looking at Future Climate Change from the Paleoclimatic Records of Loess Plateau in China: Two Attempts

Introduction:

Kang Shugang, is a doctor, researcher at the Institute of Earth Environment, Chinese Academy of Sciences, master's supervisor, and an outstanding member of the Youth Innovation Promotion Association, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is mainly engaged in the research of Quaternary geology-related fields such as loess and paleoclimate, luminescence chronology, etc. He has presided over the Youth and General Programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Member and Excellent Member Programs of the Youth Promotion Association of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the Western Lights Program of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and participated as a backbone in key research and development, the Chinese Academy of Sciences pilot projects, and the second Qinghai-Tibet scientific research project. The research results have been published in a total of about 30 SCI papers, with more than 10 papers published as the first and corresponding author in geological journals such as Geology, QSR, QG, and PP, and have been cited about 700 times. Among them, the first and corresponding author's papers have been cited more than 50 times, with a total of 6 papers.
